)Actually, I'm working on website graphics, so instead of drawing only the bits and pieces of images I need for the layout, I'm drawing the whole thing, and then chopping it up as needed for the layout.

They're scarred. I've changed his design somewhat. It seemed ridiculous to have a guy who has been a slave all of his life and had as hard a life as Mirshann is supposed to have had to have perfect unblemished skin.
So the scars are mostly from restraints that have been too tight (or made of silver, of which he is allergic), and not a small number of self inflicted scars, though he doesn't make a big deal of it.
