Hey, Warhol had his gimmick and it worked for him. I like this piece, saw it on the daily dev. and needed to see it in person. It interests me, and I don't think it should be discounted for being Warhol-esque.

my oppinion to all those anti-warhole's:
Yeah, 4 colored pictures of marilyn monroe aren't very hard to do.
but HE did it. not you.
HE had the idea. and HE got famous with that.
Do you know how hard it is to imagine something easy?
You could say: I could do this too. Yeah. but you didn't. You hadn't the idea!
Warhole had the idea to the marylin pic and skizz to the jo-pic (this here)

I don't really like this, either. I mean, it's a nice idea, and those happen to be my three favorite colours, but it's not very original or eye-pleasing. Especially the figure. If it was a flower, or something pretty... I dunno. But you do well for this style of art.

meh I dont really like it either, I guess its eye catching and trendy. But not original. I give you brownie points on your ability to catch the eye, cuz I mean im looking at it. But you lose em for the ability to hold the eye. I only looked at it for long to give u an honest answer. I think the only saving grace, albeit not very big, was the color usage in the middle one.

I agree that Warhol was no genius but his work was great. Pop art is supposed to be that way its not like classical art or anything, oh well. The point I am trying to make is this is pretty nifty. I really like the hair on the pictures, other then that its kinda plain but I am not saying its crappy just...pop art
