This is part of a summer project for college. I wanted to take a series of portrait shots documenting young people from london's obsession with getting fucked upremember kids don't do drugs

I think that a much better title for this series would be "wasted youth". I've always really loved this picture as it perfectly illustrates in my mind the double meaning of the phrase "wasted youth". "Wasted youth" means both fucked-up adolescents and a waste of youth. I love how those two meanings relate to each other as well, how it can be thought of as both a reckless, future-erasing adolescent warcry and a remorseful reflection on a life of hoping you die before you get old.

I'm back seeing this image nearly three years later, and it still is very creative and sleek. Great job on this.

i lik ur work. iam also londoner and see this youth's tendence to take drugs. but it doesn't suprise me cause all media - newspapers, radio everythin' promote takin; drugs - i mean they celebrate celeebrities like amy w. kate moss britney etc who ar completely drugs 
but the image is actually very strong. when see alll of this series' images i will tell ya if they reminded me my fav Nan goldin

i need 2 add alot of different images for my inspiration in my log book for my film - a school assignment. .and i loved this one bcoz it shows how teenagers n such can get caught in the wrong crowd sometimes n wouldnt do things if they didnt fall into this kinda thing. . so yeh my films bout a grl who self-harms n every1 thinks shes fine n funny n rah rah, n her friends r the kind that are bad 2 b around. . i thought ur pic fit into that very well. .
