Description What's up, people of the internet? This is Crimson again, back with more drawings of two more characters from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. This time, we have the youngest members of the Greil Mercenaries, Rolf and Mist. I had this one done for about a day or two already, but never got to uploading them since I had to do other things as well.

I mentioned this with my upload of Oscar and Boyd, but Rolf here is the youngest of the three brothers. As a unit, Rolf starts off really bad, joining the party in Chapter 9 as a level 1 Archer, when you're likely to have trained most of your units at that point to somewhere in Level 7 or so. Not to mention, I've commonly heard that Archers are a pretty bad class in many FE games. So, Rolf is definitely a unit that requires a lot of effort and investment in order to make good. Much like with Mia and Nephenee, I was determined to get him up there, and he was well on the road to badassery once he promoted into a Sniper. I don't bring him in every chapter, but he always serves me really well whenever I do, especially since Sniper is the other class that gets a natural boost to their critical rate (I even gave him the Gamble skill for shits and giggles, but never really used it).

As for Mist, for much of the game, she's the only other healer available apart from Rhys (a unit I tragically did not bring in the Endgame). Because I already knew beforehand that she would be forced to join Ike in the fight against the Black Knight in Chapter 27, I had made my choice to train her as much as I could, which also took plenty of effort since she starts as a level 1 Cleric and joins at the same time as Rolf. Since healers can't really fight back until they promote, using them is a bit of a nerve-wracking experience for most of the game. Once she promoted to Valkyrie, she could technically attack with her newfound access to swords, but her Strength score generally isn't great so it'd be more common for her to remain a staff bot, which is still pretty good since she also has a mount and, by extension, Canto - meaning she can heal someone and move right after, which was part of why I opted to bring her (along with Elincia, who also has a mount) to the Endgame instead of Rhys.

Though they did what they were meant to do, neither of them made it to my Top 5, though Rolf wasn't too far behind.

As for the art itself, I'm definitely proud of how I drew their outfits (drawing that frilly skirt of Mist's was kind of a pain) and they overall turned out alright. Upon a second look, however, I'm not to proud of how their faces came out. I'm more used to drawing characters that appear a bit older; drawing young kids has never really been my forte, so drawing these two was certainly a challenge. Not a bad first attempt though, right? Oh yeah, I pretty much used their official art in Path of Radiance for reference; nothing else to add from here.

Anyway, that's all from me for now. Until next time, this is Crimson, signing off!
