I tried drawing in a different style I usually draw. I might redo it later though hmm..

Just a warning though! The story isn't very positive in the least. There's death and other stuff that people are sensitive to! Just being careful before you read since different things bother different folks!

• Body Regeneration: Nicolai can regenerate his body after suffering most types of wounds dealt upon his body. However the downside is that the healing isn't immediate and the time varies with the severity of the wound. If he does lose a body part it can reattach itself if its around but it has to be done quickly or his body will start regenerating again. He feels all the pain from his wounds and himself slowly healing every time.

•Body Deterioration: His body can also do the exact opposite and deteriorate. This doesn't seem to be very useful however he can lessen the impact of wounds. He is more susceptible to death in this state yet he doesn't mind using it. Extremely weak to immune system attacks however. Again he feels all the pain from his body deteriorating.

• Zombification: Wounds Nicolai suffered during battle or that was self inflicted on himself can be transferred to others by bite or breaking an opponents skin and then coming into contact with said opponent. This is only an illusion and will not work if the opponent is aware of the illusion. The pain usually cripples an opponent enough for Nicolai to detain them. Extremely taxing on Nicolai's mind and body and hardly ever uses this unless desperate.

Hoping to make his family proud he became a well rounded solider in medical training and in combat. The rough training he had realized wounds that were inflicted healed quite alarming pace, however he kept this to himself. In his twenties as a new war was beginning, Nicolai was appointed from sergeant to staff sergeant to replace the one that had recently fell in battle. The weight was heavier on his shoulders as he took care of more troops into battle. He soon learned the true weight of having control over others lives and the understanding that death was truly final. Like the previous staff sergeant he was ambushed with his troops and shot at. No proud deaths, no goodbyes. Nothing but choked screams and blood as he heard bodies hit the wet earth. Then bullets ripped into his flesh in a blinding flash. Everything went white, painfully white hot to dark as his own pain drowned out screams of the soldiers.

He never expected to wake up in a body that hurt so much. How could a sack of flesh and meat hurt so much. It was indescribable, death was better than this pain. Muddled voices spoke around him hurriedly as his eyes flashed around frenzied as the machine he was hooked up to. Medical equipment. He was sure he would have died from his wounds. As his ears buzzed he could hear voices of astounded and confused medical doctors. They spoke of him. He was different. There were tests done. Mutant. Monster. Monstrosity. His eyes rolled back in his head as he tried to choke out speech at them. He was not a monster.

Hero. He heard the words vaguely as his hearing faded in and out. He didn't understand. Super hero. Those bozos that were in the comics he read as a child? What did they have do to with him? He had heard of them recently as more and more showed up. Was he truly one of the oddities? The doctor spoke of his ability highly finding Nicolai's healing ability nothing short of a blessing. Well it hurt like hell. He heard soon after that his men had either died or was brought back with him and died soon after they succumbed to their wounds. They weren't coming back. Death was forever. Why had he been so foolish? Rushing blindly to make himself proud ignoring the lives of his own men. He felt sick as his consciousness was dragged back into the darkness.

The military decided to test the new found ability to the test of battle again. Giving him more men unknown to him to be used as scapegoats for bullets. The man was hesitant as he had just recovered and his body still ached. However he had made an oath to follow orders. He vowed to himself he would protect his men with his life. He would not make the mistake of ending lives again. He and his troops were spared fighting for a while as they took shelter from enemies in the brush. He formed stronger comradeship as time passed. They had successful run-ins with the enemy and shared stories of home and family. Two weeks into their plight the opposing sides clashed and bodies fell once again. The men's lives he had promised to protect and lives that he treasured snuffed out in front of him no matter how much hell they put up of a fight. He tried desperately to save the men with the medical training he knew. But no one was beyond mortal. Nicolai and his men retreated, undermanned and with dwindling supplies they didn't stand a chance. The enemy had a different idea and drove the men into mine fields. Death again. Never ending red. Screams of the dying and the living. Again. It was happening again. He couldn't stand it. He screamed for them to stay put. Ordered them to obey his orders but frightened the pressed on to their deaths. Only he and a lone solider was left. Enemies were approaching and the private tried to feverishly backtrack like a fool out of fear of death by a bomb. The was the sinking feeling of the sound of a metal compressor. Impulse took in. He became a shield of living meat. Then white again, the agonizing hot white. Maybe he was a monster after all.

The darkness was longer again. A brief reprise from the pain. He vaguely remembered it. Was he dead? No the dead can't think can they? He waited again for the light and agonizing pain. How long would it be this time. How long would he suffer again wishing for the reprise of death. He regained consciousness again to find his body had went into shock after he had lost most of his lower half to have it regrow again over the course of a year. The man he had saved from death had brought him back and stayed by his side until he awoke. It was nice for someone to watch over him that wasn't looking at him with scrutinizing eyes. Nicolai soon left the military after a long career as a militant. The private he had saved never left the military even after the horrors he had seen. The young man supported him as he tried to get back to normal life. Even if he wasn't normal. He used his extensive military medical training and used it to become a doctor. His ability to heal himself would never benefit others, but the least he could do was help others to lessen the guilt of surviving.

The private was fascinated by Nicolai and aspired to be super on his own. Not wanting to let the only troop left die, Nicolai forced himself to get back into fighting to protect the private. Even if he disliked being a hero he would put his judgement it aside to redeem himself.

Extra information:
• Despite his attitude towards others he does refer to them in a respectful manner. Usually by last name but if he doesn't know who they are it's usually just sir or ma'am. Correct him if they identify as something else. He will try his best to remember.
• He can be quite loud. However he doesn't seem to notice when hes yelling.
• He likes animals more than people. Animals don't like him however.
• Deathly afraid of getting sick.
• An avid chain smoker to calm his nerves.
• Respectful of other's space and wont touch them. He doesn't like being touched also.
• Lives by a set of strict rules for himself. Gets anxiety if his routine changes.
• Cute or friendly people make him nervous.
• Loves sickly sweet foods. Hates spicy or bitter things but will force himself to eat anything if offered.
• Not fond of the sight of other's blood but used to the sight of him bleeding.
• Terrified of ghosts or anything supernatural.

Roleplay style: Skype is preferred since I'm normally always on. Notes are fine but sometimes I forget so don't worry about bothering me. Comments are okay. I prefer lit over script but I am fine with both!
