Description And no, that's not sarcasm. More when I get to this anime... as soon as I finish the Universal Century reviews. (DAMN YOU, ZETA!!)

Mobile Fighter G Gundam belongs to Sunrise and the severely under-appreciated Yasuhiro Imagawa, who also did the likes of Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still, Seven of Seven, the 2004 adaptation of Tetsujin-28, and Shin Mazinger Shogeki Z-hen! Seriously, watch them!!

And Mobile Suit Gundam still belongs to Sunrise and still to Yoshiyuki Tomino. Check his works out too.

As subtle as a house explosion.

Surprisingly, no, it actually does have subtlety behind all the hot-blooded action over-the-top story.

And the subtle message is?

War and conflict still causes destruction and suffering, even when it's hot-blooded super robot awesomeness.

That's kind of undercut by the major antagonist mech which was meant to help heal the world...had a glitch in it's programming (to be fair a crash landing from space would be forgiven at that issue) causing it to do so much damage.

slyboyseth In reply to Sharpman01 [2015-04-05 21:58:57 +0000 UTC]

More that the glitch in its programming caused it to think that the destruction of all humans would heal the world.

Zeta was hefty, Double Zeta (ZZ) was much more my taste with itΒ΄s huge load of self irony.
I like the newer Seed too, but Wing was my first Gundam series. Mobile Fighter is great, it has a lot of good fights.

Although I do recognize him as Irvine from Chaotic Century and Mega Man X, which adds a different degree of bad@ss to both. Β Still, Gundam Fights...ho-ly crap.
