I'm in a 70s tv show rut !Barney Miller aired on ABC from 1975 to 1982. The sitcom followed the daily lives of an 'average' hard working New York City police squad. Although the show's cast was slightly altered over the years the above features pretty much the entire cast that was with it for all five seasons, except for my favorite, Jack Soo.
From left to right: Hal Linden (Capt. Barney Miller), Abe Vigoda (Det. Phil Fish), Jack Soo (Det. Sgt. Nick Yamana), Maxwell Gail (Det. Stan Wojciehowicz or 'Wojo'), and Ron Glass (Det. Ron Harris).
And yes Abe Vigoda is still alive...

That's great~! I even remember the doomed Saturday night spin-off "Fish", Β with all the kids! Β I too, have gotten into a bit of a 70's sit-com kick, as many of the shows are now turning 40!
Well, somebody commented on the theme & I love that, but did anyone ever notice the bass line being similar to the theme used in "Night Court"?

One thing I remember is how nobody liked Nicks coffee.It was really bbbbbaaaaaddddd.

This is just the original cast. Dietrich didn't become a full time part until season 4 after Jack Soo died.
