Nes is my favorite Monkee and I like his solo stuff the best, pretty cool the huge influence he had for MTV, I wonder if what he thinks of that horrible non music channel now.

He wasn't just the influence of MTV, he literally created it. The entire concept by himself. In recent interviews he pretty much thinks MTV is just bizarre today.

PopClips was a show he executive produced on Nicklelodeon after he made his music video for his song, Rio. He didn't have a proper place to market it so he came back from the UK (where he made the video) and marketed his idea for a 24hr. music channel (inspired by a 24hr. channel that let people buy groceries) and Nicklelodeon was new and took the idea. Nez than went to Warner Bros. and marketed the idea and sold it to them since PopClips didn't do that well.
