Description
As said in the manga, "All Three of Them Killers... or, actually only two."
So here are two of my favorite killers. Mugen and Jin of Samurai Champloo.
This is a practice sketch for as a part of our art trade. This is the first time I've drawn Mugen and Jin. Kinda weird considering I'm a big Champloo fan.
Turned out Mugen wasn't all that hard to draw... Jin was!
And all the while I thought he was easier. I guess his features didn't quite mesh with the way I draw. I had to keep redraw his face and still he looks kinda devious. Sorry bout that Well, I hope you like this. Now that I've drawn Mugen I can't decide what to make for the actual sketch. This was so much fun.

They're my favorite characters too. Polar opposites and they compliment each other nicely. I'm just glad it came out okay the first time I tried to draw them.

I thought Mugen would be harder to do... Btw, I like the glasses you've given Jin. They're kinda more modern with bit of edge. ^^
And by the looks of it, the two are about to fight... again..

How do I do what?
It's practice since I haven't drawn both of them ever. LOL
I made it while having dinner. The sketch was pretty fast to draw. The shading took just a bit longer (with the usual interruptions from kids who ask help with homework, or wanting more food, or trying to kill each other... you know what I mean. LOL).

I will draw just Mugen for you next time. But this one's for you too with Jin as a side dish.
I thought Mugen would be harder too. It turns out only his hair was harder to draw. But Jin who looks like he doesn't have facial expressions is actually harder. I think because I'm so used to drawing guys how look angry.
I wish they made more of the manga. I checked a few sites and found out there really only were two tankoubons released. WTF?!

I haven't found more of the manga either.
Bothers me since the story is quite different in places and I want to know how it goes.

Such a shame if there really were only two because it was a great manga. I really liked that it had different stories than the anime. Makes you think they were other adventures they had while looking for Fuu's dad.

I drew a rough sketch of Mugen (on the left side of the page) and it felt kind of sad without Jin. So there he is. hehehe.
It's sort of what the actual thing would look hehehe. Since I don't think I can improve much on the way I sketch unless I do the shading even more detailed? LOL
I wanted so much to color it or put in a textured background but all my stuff were in the dead pc so it's just a white background.
p.s. That's what I was talking about when I said he still looked devious. I can't seem to draw his lips the way Gotsubo-san draws. Orz

I can't keep myself from colouring things either, I mean, you saw the sketch version of the chibis I did for you. I was going to submit that, but because it was so plain, I decided to colour it
