God, I've been wanting to draw this pretty little girl for too long, I can tell you that.
To be honest, I didn't know about her before I accidentally watched a video on YouTube where she was in 3 or 4 years ago. I believe it was a cutscene from a DS game, but I'm not 100% sure. I kinda forgot a little about her, but after I saw her in the new Super Mario game, that little "I need to draw this character" urge came to me again. So now, I've finally got to draw her!

I'd tell you this; Pauline was the woman Mario rescued in the Mario vs Donkey Kong series (including the original Donkey KongΒ arcade game from 1981).
The hair looks realistic, but the shadowing could have been less fuzzy... it's still probably conserving the realism on her, apparently. The pose and her expression are well depicted, and I like the background of choice; it really fits the moment.

I was working really hard on making the hair fluffy, so I'm super glad to hear that came out looking fluffy, haha! XD
And it's too bad at Nintendo doesn't seem to use her very much. She seems like a pretty cool character.

I love Pauline in this game! I never paid attention to her before, but after the Odyssey, I felt in love with her. I wish I was like her, beautiful, sucessful and a good singer
