Description
I just started it when I was out of inspiration a few weeks ago and it's been finished for some days.I just had a picture infront of me and tried to "copy" it.
The original photo is from the 2008 collie calendar, otherwise I might have tried a print^^.

This is really impressive! I'm always whinging about how hard is it to draw rough collies and then you produce this! O_o Puts me to shame lol. The anatomy is excellent, it looks so life-like! Also the shading of the fur works really well texture-wise too

Beautifully done! I need to do more collie portraits. You inspire me, even if it is from a calender. Ive got tons of past collie calender pics on my walls, surrounding the giant frames of my pets.

My Late Grandpop would have loved this... he loved Collie dogs.. he used to breed them and have up to five at once,,,
My early childhood at my grandparents was always dogs and more dogs... I love them,, apart from one 'Sally' she was mean... was a bad/evil doggy

Well... no one has dogs in the family anymore... not since my Granddad died (he was the dog person) it seem the rest of us are cat lovers
However i have promised my husband we get a dog one day... only he wants a great dane *gulp*.... (i want a husty if we get a dog)

It's beautifully done! And that's a pretty typical collie head/angle, so I never would have known you'd used a photo if you hadn't said so. You could just have easily been sketching the dog itself.
