This is my second entry for the "Ancient Egypt" contest hosted by feline-icitfeline-icity.deviantart.com/

After my Cleopatra painting I really wanted to do another Egyptian Queen. It was a toss up between Nefertiti or hapshetsut...I still may do a third but I can only enter the contest twice. Aside from a base photo and some stock textures this is all digital painting done in photoshop 6 with my wacom tablet.

Nefertiti's place as an icon in popular culture is secure as she has become somewhat of a celebrity. After Cleopatra she is the second most famous "Queen" of Ancient Egypt in the Western imagination and influenced through photographs that changed standards of feminine beauty of the 20th century, and is often referred to as "the most beautiful woman in the world".
