Description
My very first piece of balloon art, done in mid-January of this very year. Not much else to say besides the story I wrote along with it, haha. May update this with Amy's room from Sonic Battle in the background or something. I'll add the original description (which I've reeeeaaaaally changed a lot since) too.

Well.
It took me two days to do this and it was my first time ever using Photoshop, my first time at attempting the Sonic Adventure art style, and my first time drawing something a picture to appeal to this kind of audience.
Even though I don't support this whole thing, I've seen several pictures of Amy with a balloon like this. However, none of them never really aimed to look, well, 'Sonic-y'. So I took my own shot and threw my hat in the ring (get it? RING? oh lord I'm hilarious), and quite honestly I think this is one of the best Sonic style pictures I've made in my life, if not my best. I'm surprised even the balloon came out pretty decent, and I thought the spiky shadows (meant to represent the balloon absorbing Amy's weight) would look horrible, but that came out well too! I especially like the shake effects coming off of Amy and the balloon, it adds more to how excited she is.
I don't know if I'll ever make a sequel to this, let alone do this kind of thing again, because I now want to practice more on detailed landscapes from other Sonic games. Maybe an updated version of this will come with Amy's bedroom from Sonic Battle as a backdrop, but that's not for certain. But really, to quote DoaA, 'who knows of the future'... or something like that, haha!

STORY

One day, Amy was all alone in her room, bored stiff. Her phone didn't have enough charge to call anyone like Cream for a chat, and nothing interesting was on TV.
"Ugh, dude! There's gotta be something to pass the time!" she muttered.
Amy then suddenly remembered her old bedroom in the attic. She and her friends once used it as a battle ring, which caused quite a bit of damage, rendering it unstable and forcing Amy to relocate her chambers, but with time the room's structure healed itself.
She climbed into her loft and switched on the old light bulb. Nostalgia hit her eyes. She had not been up here in nearly 10 years, yet everything was still in amazing condition, despite it being very dusty.
She had hit the jackpot. Boxes and sets of drawers filled with toys and other forms of fun and entertainment laid around the room.
"Woo! Oh yeah, this is gonna get fun!" Amy shouted with delight before lifting one of the lids off of the boxes and diving in.
However, she found nothing of her interest at first. Old spinning tops, dolls, dried makeup, old hairbrushes and hairbands, and several other bland objects laid around the box.
"Dude... was I this childish!?" Amy said dryly. Rummaging through the other bland objects though, something hit her sight. It was an unopened packet of balloons. She always loved playing with balloons when she was younger, and decided it would be awesome to play with them again.
Opening the packet, balloons of multiple light colours dropped out onto the floor. A pinkish-purple coloured balloon caught Amy's sight the most, though.
"Alright! Let's do this." Amy announced confidently as she bought the balloon to her lips. Blowing it up until it was at its perfect shape, Amy shook with excitement. She grinned, tied off the balloon and threw it into the air, watching it bounce around.
Amy remembered doing this as a child and finding it amazing, but as she watched the balloon today, she felt like there was something else she liked about balloons now.
"Well... I have roughened up quite a bit..." Amy thought. She clicked her finger. She knew exactly what she wanted. She jumped over and snatched the balloon. Placing it under her, she leaned down as the neck bulged out. Amy giggled at the creaking sound the balloon made as she began to bounce up and down...
