Angel of Suffering, for ~Flock-of-doves 's contest! XD Full view, please!

As you can see, I had a lot of fun. Oh, the irony of being an angel while being impaled by crosses.

This is acrylics on.... my sketchbook There were so many problems! First I was thinking, "Should I do a background?" and then considering "How much blood should I put?", and then wondering "What shade of hair should I do?" and last but not least "HOW THE HELL DO I DRAW THIS POSITION?!"

The answers to the above are:
"No. God No."
"A LOT. A Lot, a lot."
"Black. Since the background's white. And because it's sexy."
And

" ' Phoebe, where's Bob?'
(Bob is my manikin.)
'You lent him to me, remember? I knew you'd need him when I had him.'
'Well. Now I'm screwed. Since it's your fault, you're now going to model.'
'...What?!' "

Etc.

So. I screwed up with the black paint, and covered a lot of the mistakes in red. I had to photoshop the eye back to normality because the hair covered it up, and I got pissed. Plus, I've never actually used Acrylics before in a drawing... so this is my virgin acrylic artwork. Whoot!

And, as a sidenote, this character IS actually one of my real characters. Its name is Lucifael. Of course, lots o tweaks were done to his design here but hey.

Do you WANT to know how long it took me to learn how to draw a tattered wing?!
