Thank you FFXII for what was possibly the best ending you could have made. Thank you for not throwing in some crazy plot twist for the sake of unpredictabilty. Thank you for the politics and the best character development this genre has ever seen. Thank you for the subtlety and the elegance. Good job, Squeenix. Good job.

The ending really is a killer for the poor boy, isn't it? He loses absolutely everything and everyone then gets plonked onto the Emperor's throne at 12 with at least half the world out to kill him and a 'guardian' who'd rather be at Dalmasca.
He still gets my vote though!
