For m'very good friend, Sas, as her belated birthday present. It's basically an armless dragon, where his forelimbs are actually his wings. His footpaws were detailed like those of a velociraptor, though I got the proportions of the large ankle-claw on his left footpaw wrong.It was originally going to breathe fire, but I thought that I shouldn't prolong the wait for the picture and also, I felt lazy and didn't want to detail the flames xD The shading was meant to have an oil-painting effect, but as you can see, it didn't work out at all. That would explain the wonky shading/highlighting lines and wiggly lineart. The wings are actually semi-transparent, but it doesn't show against the cloud background - which, mind you, is terrible. I ran out of creativity and stuck a random, highly uneffective background behind the dragon.
Overall, the picture took about two weeks to do in total, but probably about 48+hours if I worked non-stop.

Now that I've done Sas' gift, I'll have to start on Tan's.. which will probably be a wolf. That is, if I don't change my mind. I thought about doing a crow :3 M'like crows ^^

The line art isn't bad at all, it's just really thick. I'm not sure what you were going for with it...so I can't really give too many suggestions. Personally, I kind of really like the background. Simple, yes, but I think the shading is pretty.
You know, if you resize it by 50%, it looks really good. I don't think there's that much wrong with the shading, but it's basically that you didn't achieve the desired effect. Hmm...
The lighting seems fine. The texture doesnβt look half bad either. The muscles look a tad odd and could use with some refinement. And the right (our right) leg looks rather odd.
The top transparent section of the wing works very nice, though.

I love the glowing effects on the dragon.. reminds me a lot of my Aerdra :3
The scale effect is really nice, though for some reason, it appears to me that the scales are not quite -on- the creature.. more like a pattern over it. I don't really know how to explain, so ignore me X__@ ..I think it's just because it looks like the high-power smudge tool was used to put in the scales ( I do that XD), but there isn't much shading on the individual scales and they're just kinda... there.
Ach, I'm blabbering again, slap me anytime you want.
But anyways, I love the coloring overall, and especially the transparency of the wings ^_^ Keep it up!

The lighting is very good. Good pose. The head is the best part for me, especially the bits around the eye. Only one thing bothers me and that's the line art. It seems a bit too thick in some areas. Other than that, I think it's great. Nice work
