This is for 's contest. We had to take a Norse Animal and create a piece of art. I decided to do Skoll and Hati (I'm sure many others will do this one because they are wolves) but yeah. When I read a bit about these guys they intruged me. The art itself is mine, but the idea of 2 wolves chasing the sun and moon is not.I hope you guys enjoy it. I loved doing this piece!
How I did it:
I used a reference for the wolves, but I cheated and only drew one, and it worked out nicely when I copied it on the copier to make it on both sides of the paper, hence the symertry.
I colored the copy with water colored pencils
I outlined the drawing in black sharpie and scanned it in
I used photoshop to do the rest (the background)
This is my favorite piece I've done recently ^.^

You have a great eye for drawing what is 'actually there' vs what our eyes tell us is there.

well, I drew the wolf lineart (one) and made a copy so that they were exactly the same on one sheet of paper. then I colored it traditionally. The background was added on the computer ^.^ but everything that is not black and white is traditional ^.^
