"As if born from the darkness and creeping mist, he appeared... The Great Ghost of the Deadlands. Hollowed trees stood unmoving at his passing, grass long dried and dead uttered not a sound as paws moved softly through it. Pure silence, white noise; everything in a perpetual stillness as if time itself had stopped. The only light that danced here was that of the playful fireflies, ever glowing with a splendid neon green. The Ghost mused to himself as to how they were like little beakons guiding him through the thick blanket of fog looming about. Such a thought was dismissed, his slight pause broken as he continued on. He'd not stop again, not until he had found that which brought him here.

His heart tightened at the thought of the one he searched for, aching to know if the scent on the wind was mere fantasy or reality. So long had he waited to see the face of the one he lost. Six long years seemed more an eternity as he navigated through reaching finger-like branches. Mind lost in thought, he wore no gentle smile that he was known for, only the look of regret and grief. Until he found her, there would be no peace in his troubled soul, no happiness in his heart.

He would find her. Even if it meant finding what he feared."

This is Mahdu, leader of the Deadlands pride in a comic/story I've got going on in my head. I'll eventually get around to writing it once I get a ways into another one I have going. This is just a little comic of Mahdu searching for someone he'd lost long ago, or so he thought. Enjoy~
