Ah, one of three of my fav characters of Shingeki no kyojin and I have him one my shirt XD
Levi is my fav along with Erwin

I don't have many favs of these characters however, I love the plot at lot more then the character development XD But its a very "omoshiori" anime plus its a vintage era more so then a modern era, so rare but even better!

Levi is my favorite but i just felt inspired to do Eren. I think i want to spend a bit more time on Drawing Levi so it looks a bit better.

And know what you mean, really you can't find another one like it. Its in an old era but with modern twist's, that just really makes it special. It wouldn't be the same if it was in another time era. Their world is still developing meaning they haven't discovered many things yet and don't know how to get through extreme situations which just add's to all of the excitement of watching or reading it!

LOL!
Ah, I understand though XD But the work importantly responds towards your interest of them also ^.^
I'm just waiting for this character to grow up and be less "spontaneous typical boy" LOL!

I'm usually not a fan of ocd characters be it any type of movie or anime (except for Monk in the detective series) but Levi is an exception XD

I'm a fan of vintage eras not just in anime, pretty much why I say this. I'm always for that, celtic , roman and feudal japan alongside myth.

For anime, I hardly see a more driven point of view type anime and also, when it comes to time eras. I see more modern type anime unfortunately-not that I have a problem or anything- but I LOVE diversity and versatility so this anime is a slight relief for me, esp its story for it has a classic myth in it and thank the gods, not mecha involved, like Samurai 7 and some other anime built out of modern era (obviously the Japanese are found of mecha and technology as much as I'm not XD Not that I don't appreciate it but the traditional world for me is more romantic in a sense and an interesting prospective life style.)

So anime like this, yeah is pretty much hard to find. A lot of the anime I've liked, some are old but still I think better vs a lot of this new generation of anime their coming out with.

Sorry to rant so much on there-my fav manga, my top despite never becoming an anime show rg veda. And ah...I'd pick it over shingeki no kyojin I'm afraid XD

You can rant all you like i couldn't careless x'D

You seem very passionate (If I can say that..) about this sort of thing (Not Snk in general) which I think is really cool! I love to see the fire in people and strong points of views that they have.

But I really do get were you are coming from, although for me my genres of anime vary very differently from each other (meaning I really can't compare them to one another) so really I haven't found another one of an old vintage era that i'm super passionate about.. The only one I can think of that would be the closest to an older time era that i really liked would be Black Butler. I understand it's based in the Victorian era but I still thoroughly enjoyed it, even though the time gaps from Snk and Black butler are huge they they only 2 that aren't based in the 21st century (or the future) this I really got into.

I find it so hard now to find a good one set in an old time era that I really like (or that has a good plot). It's mostly that I've set my standards too high but also that the futuristic and 21st century anime's are more popular so they have started to make more anime's based in those times...

Heheh, well I only apologize for some people would note that its the longest conversation they've had added a period and that's it. So I'm always under that impression XD

So thanks for the clearing XD

Well I got into anime more in the 90's
My friend whom lived in japan for four years got me into it more so then I thought I as. My first fav game in the world and it still is final fantasy 7

I loved fighting games firstly, Like Tekken, street Fighter and Dragon Ball series. (my friend's mom was obsesssssed with Vegeta I was...I hate the newer series.
Looking at anime now to me, it seems to me less iconic as for it was more portrayed with a lot of suggestive material, I the violence dept, gore and profanity. The perversion on females only hasn't ever changed but only gotten worse LMAO!

But To me their weak points are their stories and character decelopement and also lack of diversity.
Its kinda feels like that majority of its repetitive or the same in some nature, so I'm always waiting for unque works and only WISH they make more anime from good manga works like "Clover and RG Veda, finish up Beserk not the damn ova I HATE it! Making it look pretty does into give it overall ratings, the manga is amazing.

I've read some commentaries along with the ff games and I'm glad to hear from other anime veterans that they are disappointed that their works are too much of image wise in their anime then what stories they make and poor character development.
They can make it glossy as much as they want but it doesn't incline ti to be a hit with majority viewers in popularity. Why I see why my mom was more of a book reader XD They have a lot of great novelties out there and graphic anime novelty as well. I'd just like to see it animated.

As for Balck Butler, I would like it only more if they have less humor in it and were a bit more serious. Its kinda of predictable but its fun none the less in consideration that's its a near full fledge comedy. My fav anime comedy is Fruit Baskets and Samurai Champloo

I got into it when i was around 6-7 so around that age Sailor Moon was my first, i'm not too keen on the re-make that they have done of it now since I was so used to the original but from 7 to now my taste's have changed. xD

I have been finding that anime's have just been building up on the plot and less on the character development.. Like there are still some really good ones around there it's just hard to find them since all of the newer ones over take them, or old ones that have been on for awhile you start to see them lose character development and more on the plot.. I really hate to see great things just get..I wouldn't say worse but lesser of what it used to be.. like losing the feel that it used to have..

I have a few that I would love to see animated, but every time one does I get frustrated cause they change bits of the characters like certain traits or the story line is missing important things and then I start to think I wish this never happened and that everyone who watches it and doesn't read it is just missing out on so much.

As for Black Butler, what you're saying is very true. I see it go into depth and get serious from times but as soon as you think "finally they are really getting into it" someone or something pop's up to lighten the mood with a joke or does something comical and all seriousness is over.. Thats one thing i don't like.
My fav anime comedies are probably Barakamon, Inu x Boku SS and Dashi koukousei no nichijou. (Even though Dashi are just full of very short episodes i rather enjoyed it and had a good laugh every minute or two.)
