I am very impressed, even more so by the fact that you pulled this off in only forty five minutes. I labored for hours on my last watercolor picture ("Ruby's Room") and was only somewhat satisfied with the results, but that's probably because I don't really know the medium that well. You seem to. The textures of the moon and the clouds are very cool and effective.
I'm having trouble figuring out the bottom part of the picture, though. One thing I don't get is where the moon is. It looks kind of like it's just sitting in the middle of some hills, half buried in the ground. It it supposed to look like it's very close to the planet the viewer is on, and the viewer sees it while standing in some hills?

Well what happened was that there was originally a lot more on the bottom half but quite a bit got trimmed off since my scanners so small. It's supposed to be a sort of dune with dry grass at different intervals like in my other watercolor Purple Dusk. Because of the trimming though the view is a little strange, but it's supposed to be a lower shot so there's no horizon just the dunes immediatly in front. The moon or world that you see is so supposed to orbiting the planet VERY closely, that's why it fills up so much of the sky. I hope that makes sense, it's a bit hard to explain.

it looks fine even though you had to crop it with the scanner bed... and I think it's casting away of some of the picture quality actually serves a water color painting well because it makes the blending look perfect, omedetou ne~!

This is true though I've noticed my scanner tends to make my drawings a lot grayer then they actually are which is a pain since I then have to mess with it on one of my inferior programs.

inferior? I have recently figured out the magic wand tool on paintshop pro... I'll teach you sometime, you can control lots of aspects of it.
