Another challenge from Malistlk I decided to do!

So let’s get right to it then.

Tanabi: Kovu and Kiara’s youngest son. Tanabi is a runty brown male lion with teal eyes, a small and unkept brown mane, muted ear rims, and pink nose. Even at a young age, everyone noticed Tanabi was a little different. He was the last to speak and the last to... well... do anything. His mane never even fully grew in. Queen Kula of the Highlands took notice of Tanabi’s shocking resemblance to her brother; Chumvi was Tanabi’s paternal grandfather after all. Unlike Chumvi, Tanabi was an awkward and soft spoken individual, who lacked a spine to ever stand up for himself. He did not strive for friends nor mates leaving his parents riddled with concern for his antisocial behavior. Once Moto was seated as King of the Pridelands, he decided to marry Tanabi off to the Riverland’s princess (coincidentally Chumvi and Kula’s birth pride) much to his parents’ dismay. Tanabi fell in love with the princess immediately upon seeing her, but the princess? Not so much. It took a whole season but he finally managed to win her over and tried his best to played into her rules. Unfortunately for Tanabi, he failed to realize that his mate was not always faithful to him.

Shani: Shani does not exist in my HC. But if Simba and Nala ever wanted more cubs, I guess she’d be a good candidate of what another daughter between them would look like.

Aisha: The last born of Simba and Nala. After the war, the late King and Queen conceived a new cub and little Aisha was born. Aisha is a brown lioness with red mane, teal eyes, two stripes that extend down her head to her shoulders, fuzzy inner ears, and dark eyelids. Aisha was a lot like her older sister, Kiara, in her youth, however, as she grew older she became more sassy and bitter towards her parents for ever having her so late in life. After Queen Nala’s passing, she grows closer to her father but something strange begins happening. The young lioness begins growing mane patches even after finishing puberty! The process terrified her, so much so that she went so far as to seek the Royal mjuzi out to cure it. He assured her there was nothing wrong with her, she just was growing a mane. It took a few years- but Aisha eventually grew to accept her appearence.

Chaka: Chaka does not exist in my HC, just like Shani. But if Simba and Nala were to have another son, here’s a design. I decided to throw on a Sarabi nose and heterochromia just so he wouldn’t be confused for Mufasa or Kion.

Naba: Same as the other two speculative designs, Naba doesn’t exist. This time around she’s more of a mix between Nala and Simba’s traits. She has Mufasa’s eye color.

Mvua (Tanabi’s mate): Mvua of the Riverlands was scheduled to be heir to her kingdom but she had a problem. With no consort in tow- she could not secure the position. Mvua is a large, reddish brown lioness with golden eyes, thick eyebrows, fuzzy inner ears, muzzle freckles, and dark eye rims. The Riverlands kingdom was small, and residents were slowly moving out due to flood conditions being pratically inhabitable. Mvua swore on her father’s death bed that she would do anything to her kingdom, and to her last breath she lived by that. She strikes a deal with King Moto of the Pridelands to marry his youngest brother off to her: Prince Tanabi. He had Riverlander blood in his veins, which she liked. He heavily resembled an average Riverlander lion too, something she also liked. What Princess Mvua did not like what Tanabi himself. He was quiet, oblivious in most situations, and wasn’t the most intelligent. She eventually took advantage of this by being the dominant ruler of their kingdom, prompting Tanabi to bend the knee to her whenever she willed it. After a year of being married, she did eventually grow to love Tanabi back. Not in the soulmate sense, but she did love him. The kingdom anxiously expected the monarchs to produce many heirs together, but Tanabi was not interested in intimacy. Angered and hurt by his rejection, Mvua stormed off and went missing for several days. Tanabi searched far and wide for her, day and night. It was the only time he ever used his kingly privileges to do anything. Mvua swiftly returned after a week, and by that time, Tanabi agreed to finally sire heirs with her. Months later, she had five healthy cubs, two sired from Tanabi, and the other three... not sired from him. To the Queen’s relief, her clueless mate failed to ever realize that most of his children were not even his own.
