Yeah, I drew this based on a photograph... the problem is, I probably printed out that photograph when I was like 17... I`m 22 now... so I really have no idea where I found it.

Yeah, I found the original photo.. but it was small so I;m basing everything off of someones realistic.. photoshop-thing-image.. whatever off of it. I love this specific picture of him.

I actually have a scanner. If you do a lot of traditional work, I think a scanner is worth the investment.

i hate watercolors for their bitchiness to work with and this is amazing!!! as they say, "a true artist can create a masterpeice with any brush." annoying paints or otherwise

Haha, I just think it's funny, people's opinions on watercolors. Some people just think they're the most annoying things ever, but they do have one benefit over all other types of paints, and this is probably why I've chosen to make them my medium of choice -- they're cheap! ^^

i think watercolors are annoying in that any stray water stream can screw everything up, and its not solid. so overlapping can get frustrating, and the whole fiasco around using "cheater's white".
then again, as you said the price, is a good thing about them. that and how blending/mixing colors is pie. you can make some nice effect with them, but its hard to make your work not look light while using them. therefore that was most of the praise for that kyo painting. u used a tricky medium and still conveyed alot of bold colors, instead of wishy washy trnaslucent shades.

I have no problem "cheating"! Although if I screw up I usually use acrylic white, which makes it "mixed media"
