Description
The roboticizer constructs robot bodies based on the available design criteria at the time of the subject's transformation. As new advances in technology become available, that data can be added to the roboticizer database in order to produce more advanced robots. However, even older robots are "future proofed" to an extent. The basic roboticization blueprint is to create a mechanical endoskeletal structure with a modular armored exterior. Components in the skeleton are designed to be easily removed and replaced when newer components are invented. The external armor is designed to detach quickly so it can also be "hot-swapped" for new or different armor configurations as necessary. This allows a robotic life form to update their appearance as their preference changes or as their identity evolves over time. For instance, a free-willed Robian may prefer to appear more mature as their mind and personality develop so that their exterior aligns with their mindset. Or, a Robian could equip a body-shell that is more suited to a specific task. In this sense, the outer cowling both functions as "skin" and "clothing."
