Well, redesign, at least. Revolution was just requisite because of eth content...I've been doing lots of fanart because its good practice and its actually something I've never tried my hand at much before... So here's some homage to Shoujo Kakumei Utena, which I think is one of the two greatest artistic works of the nineteen-nineties, the other one being Neil Gaimen et al's Sandman. All pretenses aside, I'm pleased with how this turned out; I don't dig the outfits or color schemes for anyone in that show (to say nothing of the comic) so I made them more palatable. There may be another version of this posted in the future, and there will surly be some more yuri-themed Utena crap posted by me since i am inspired and crazy....
Anyone have any fanart you suggest for me? Something I should try out? I am taking suggestions...though who knows what I'll do with them...

I really like the way you made Utena's appearance mistakable for a boy. It always bugged me that she was so obviously a girl, but they called her a tomboy.... Aren't tomboys supposed to be boyish looking?
And I like the way you made Anthy so regal looking... She looks so much less likely to get smacked around.

Thanks! Yeah, I was intedning to give them both a more mature and in-control look. I think tomboy can refer to how you act or look, but in the Japanese they don't call her "tomboy" anyway, so oh well.

Geez, Anthy looks *so* much better. And Utena's outfit could actually be mistaken for a boy's uniform now (I don't know why that bothered me so much in the show, it was like, one line) and she has spats!...er, well things that kinda' look like spats, which is totally close enough in my book.
And you need to finish Moomins in SpAAAaaaaAaaAAaAaAAAaaaaaAace! And Silver Metal Lover.

Yay, Utena fanart. Utena really got sexified up a notch *I adore her shoes!), and I love what you did with Anthy's dress! The hair on both is definately an improvement, and I'm glad you chose to stick mostly to Anthy's original odd color scheme. Pose wise, Anthy looks a bit off balance, but that could just be a side effect of the dress.
