Golly, after today's painting debacle with Pein and such, I almost thought I wouldn't have something decent to work with xD.So, here's Nagato for now~ Yahiko Pein will be uploaded in due time, and there I shall explain what happened

Materials:
-Cherry parchment
-Sumi Ink (black)
-Bamboo Calligraphy brush
-Sumi Ink brush pen
-Korean bamboo brush
Side note/fact: I do not use water at all to dilute the ink when it comes to shading. I also do not use any sort of paint brush.
Ink was an experiment when I was bored; I have only been doing these for about a week now~
*All ink portraits are for sale and range from $10-20 each. You can't really see all the details/brush strokes when it's scanned lol

It is quite trying, I'd say~ ^-^
I don't use water to dilute the ink, otherwise it just looks like watercolor, which makes shading and adding depth the hardest part.

what type of medium do you use the ink with? I'm curious. I could do a lot of work with certain mediums, but i don't know where to start XD

Not sure what you mean by medium, but this is what I use to make le ink portraits:
