Based on the fanfic "A Beautiful Day in Equestria" by Sir Politic Am-Be (but secretly it's Greg of Fimflamfilosophy!)the Fanfic [link] is extremely depressing, but one of the best I've read.

I actually create these images by planting flowers of the three primary colors in a certain arrangement, then wait for them to grow, then use a large fan to blow them against a really big, recently painted, wall. The flowers all stick to the wet paint, see. Then, I use a ladder to reach all the flowers and sort of crush and mix them, which is how the colors blend into what you see here. You can actually see where some of the blue wall is still showing through on this one. Anyway, after that, I usually use this really heavy-duty sandpaper to give it that "digital painted" texture. Then I paint over it with a transparent adhesive so that it sticks. You can't really tell what everything is because the resolution is so small.
After that, I take a picture and paint it in Photoshop CS5 (student discount for the win!) with the small Bamboo Wacom tablet.

o-o Why would he/she get haters for putting the name of the story as the title for his artwork? It's quite obvious by the thumbnail that it's not exactly a happy picture, so...

Well, still, there's no harm in putting the name of the story as the name of the artwork. And if people don't get what they expect, then they should just go away. :U

Why? =s From people disappointed it wasn't quite such a beautiful day in Equestria? Maybe... They can probably tell from the thumbnail though that it's not a very bright and happy picture, though.

Ah, that's a good point. I didn't even know you could change that setting. I think I'll still go with this title, though. It's not something likely to traumatize anyone, and I quite like the irony of it. I'm not sure what else I'd title it, anyway...
Thanks for the input, though. If it turns out to bug several people I'll probably change it.
