Description I know it's crap. Cloud filter for the lose.

Ah, well. I drew this comic a while ago out of crippling boredom. It makes fun of the ending of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is the greatest game ever in my opinion. Despite it being a great game, I never got why Link and Zelda were standing smack-dab in the middle of a generic plot of sky after the Sages sealed Ganondorf away. You'd think that the forces of gravity would come back to bite them hard.

I ALWAYS wondered this!

Maybe because Zelda is a Sage, she can float eternally... and Link is wearing the Hover Boots?

That are invisible...

...and somehow still keeping him in the air...

....Yeeeeeeeeah, that fall is gonna hurt *hard...*

Stareon In reply to FlareDragonessReshi [2011-07-02 16:49:55 +0000 UTC]

Haha, I guess this situation wouldn't occur if Link was wearing the Hover Boots. It would've made fighting Ganon a touch harder though, what with him sliding around like he's on a frozen pond.

Otherwise--LOGICALLY--he's pretty much boned. Unless, of course, the sky area he and Zelda are standing in is like some sort of magical dimension or something.

WHY AM I TRYING TO ANALYZE THIS CLEARLY IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION?? D:

It would, but apparently all real-world logic flies out the window when a magic ocarina is involved.

Thanks for the favorite and sorry for taking so long to reply. :]

that funny i've only play twilight princess so i don't know of the story aside from what i find on wiki but i guess they were flying through magic or gravity lost itself in the final hour

Stareon In reply to R-dragon [2010-08-22 05:26:12 +0000 UTC]

If you liked Twilight Princess, you should get Ocarina of Time. If you have a Wii, you can download it for 1000 Wii Points ($10. Very cheap!) via the Shop Channel. It's sort of similar to Twilight Princess, except Hyrule Field is a bit smaller (and therefore a bit less empty), there's time travel instead of turning into a wolf and navigating the Twilight, and there's much more of an emphasis on using songs (played using the Ocarina) to progress.

As for what's going on at the game's end, I think it is that they're in some sort of magic dimension or "gravity lost itself in the final hour". That or the programmers were trying to get the game completed on schedule and couldn't add more detail to the environment. Who knows?

Thanks for your comment, btw :]

I thought the ending of OoT didn't quite need that back to the original time thing^^

Stareon In reply to sorenfan777 [2008-12-24 04:33:51 +0000 UTC]

Really? I thought Link and Zelda returning to their original time made sense, although I did pine for Link's hot adult bod

The standing in the sky thing, though, doesn't make any sense at all.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sorenfan777 In reply to Stareon [2008-12-24 04:40:57 +0000 UTC]

Well the sky thing doesn't really make sense.^^ Anyway, It was just a little confusing to me. I mean, if they went back in time does zelda remember too? Does the timeline change to where ganondorf never existed? Why does navi leave (although I didn't mind that XD). How are the new sages still sages if link went back in time and didn't awaken them. 0.o Sorry a LOT of questions ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stareon In reply to sorenfan777 [2008-12-24 07:07:00 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm...I never thought about the time/space continuum stuff. Then again, I'm not that into trying to figure out the "proper" Zelda timeline...

I have an assumption for Navi, though. I guess she left at the end of the game because she fulfilled her task of helping Link to save Hyrule. Of course he tries to find her, which is where Majora's Mask starts.
