Welcome to the Miracleverse! AKA, the Disliked Ships AU, but I don't use this as a platform for hate. While the universe is slightly... twisted, they are all options that could have happened in the main TFIMverse. They're a chance to do things with the... standard ships that people have, and using them in new ways, as well as a platform for interesting characters. I want to do some different things with the designs, so I may note the standard designs I tried to avoid with each design. These designs have been done for... an embarrassing amount of time, so expect a lot of the designs at once, I finally decided to upload them. This boy is an Octascratch foal... I finished his sketch approximately on February ‎22. While I didn't design him entirely, and most if not all of the credit should go to Dreamy for the design, I agreed to accept the designs (I'm saying this as if that's some kind of thing I did as a favor instead of being so completely overwhelmed with happiness to be offered designs), mainly due to Rhythm's clear colors related to Vinyl Scratch's older brother, and I just adored both of them. I over-saturated his coat colors to give him a unique color rather than white or grey, and I'm super glad he has no obnoxiously bright colors in him either. Something only worth mentioning in passing, considering no one should care, but it is a fact about his character to mention Temper is intersex, though dominantly male and identifies as male, which is is both a reference to his design being a merge of a brother and sister character, also is why he has naturally thick eyelashes usually indicative of females in MLP, along with the rounded and soft snout.
Tempered Tempo, or just Temper, (partially due to the other pony in town with tempo in his name) is a music critic with very strict tastes and very, very strict personality. A short fuse, something that fits the shortened nickname he prefers, he speaks very curtly and is incredibly blunt, quick witted, but with a preference to keep his words to a minimum. This has given him a bit of a mysterious personality among Ponyville, or at least, a mystery as to what he thinks about things other than the music he critiques, since he barely speaks and hides under a strict mask of sharp wit. Since his mom is mute, he only had his other mother to speak to, he tends to keep quiet most of the time because only one half of his household was was ever speaking. He's also very good at picking up ponies unspoken visual cues, due to this.
He absolutely hates most of the musicians in Ponyville, having ridiculous standards for what qualifies as 'good', though admittedly, to be fair to him; he has no preferences for what music counts as 'legitimate', rather, having two mothers with such differing tastes, he 'likes' all kind of music. It's just musicians he can't stand. He absolutely despises Hazelnut Hushup's work in particular, and has a massive amount of distaste for her personally as well, though this isn't uncommon, most ponies dislike the immature musician. He just has a tendency to be much louder than most.
His mothers have always lived together since Octavia moved into Ponyville, and have a good friendship, though often communication issues come up due to Vinyl's muteness, they're quite a musical team. Vinyl is a dab hoof at mechanics and has set up her side of the house, still strictly divided, whether out of tradition, convenience or just aesthetics, as a mechanical marvel. Octavia's side is much more down to earth, while Temper himself lives in a new split in their house, in the middle. It's a bit awkward when his mothers are holed up in their own parts of their house, passing messages back and forth through their son, but it works well enough.
