holy frick???? summer is so cute???? i was guessing you didnt pick fennekin, honestly it isnt the best in nuzlockes (i did a wonderlocke and wow my fenniken i got in a trade was really weak surprisingly) but i know which one you're picking obviously from the cover art, which im completely routing for because omg chespin is really cute??? and actually good? wanna hear something funny, in my Y wonderlocke i did, i got a quilladin named "Quill.I.Am" based off of the rapper "will.i.am" and i was literally my favorite pokemon i've ever gotten in a wondertrade tbh???? one thing though, i really hope your first gym goes well with this lil guy!! I was considering doing fennekin at first, but ended up choosing chespin since it seems like an underappreciated Pokemon (I didn't even like it much at first but HOO BOY did that change). omfg what a gem in wondertrade tho.
In the case of not getting a Pokemon with a type advantage over the first gym, I was planning on just. Using rollout and praying.

Like, I'm sure a few kids may not be extremely pleased with their starter and they're allowed to be disappointed but they still get what they get. If a kid gets a squirtle but they REALLY want a charmander, there are numerous certified breeders in the region that can raise one for them (this is how most kids normally get their first Pokemon. Calem, Serena, and Shauna are taking part of a research program through a lab so it's done a bit differently)
