One of the side effects after prolonged use of the devices implanted in kassie and her brother Kayden is random spouts of temporary madness and uncontrollable rage. The human body isn't meant to have that kind of power. The mind just snaps. They lose control when worked up and wake up with no memory of what happened on the verge of an aneurysm.
During one of these fits kassie takes on a platoon of lyok soldiers on her own but a deranged rage monster doesn't hold well long against a powerful disciplined military. Jackson must step in and not only save them relatively but must find a way to stop the side effects before their minds give out or the army of aliens stops them first.
