wow, those are beautiful! I have done some metal work, we started with hammer an anvil and made nails and it was one of the most physically demanding my art practice has brought me to do so far. I fell in love with it! These are absolutely wonderful!! All of your hard work, sweat and effort really paid off!

holy crap, no welds?! That is amazingly beautiful work and far more intricate than I would have thought possible.

Thanks, it was going to have leaves on the ivy vines, but decided it would be too much. Probably the only time I have ever managed to stop myself before going that step too far with a piece.

Amazing! They look awesome to begin with, but to hear that you didn't weld them makes them really unique and impressive.

now, if i were to do this, i would have used a solid clay for the mushrooms with a bronze finish to get more detail, and might add fairies....but thats just cause i'm a critic perfectionist 11 year old. so yeah. if you posted it on cutoutandkeep.net with a tute, everyone would LOVE you!! now i ish going to get food.

The use of clay and paint would sort of defeat the traditional, skillful dimension; the fact that this was made with simple tools is part of what makes it so amazing, I think. (;

My mouth fell open when I saw this. Absolutely amazing! The design is so beautiful. I am cheered to know that metal smithing has not died out and is being perpetuated by talented artists like yourself.

I'll have to keep you in mind for when I get to work on my cob house (Currently in various stages of planning). Your metal work is something else and I can only imagine it making my house look even better. Mind you, I'm working to finish up college first so it'll be a bit but if you're still around I may have some jobs for you. ^-^

Well I'm hoping it happens before 50 years, I'd rather not be in school that long. Its making me crazy as is and I've got at least 5ish years to go. My goal is an MFA. I'm real excited about what a person can do with cob so I can't wait till I can make this house a reality. ^-^ Hmmm, trade would be nice. Not really sure what I'd have to bring to the table but it is nice to know that option is there. I just hope it won't take to long after to school to bring my house to life.
