If i remeber correctly from your article in Whitecloud Worlds volume 1 (I think it might be 2) I recall seeing this and using it as a refrence for female composure studies. Hope the job at the workshop (considering you still work) there is going good. Hope to see more from you!

She reminds me so much of a steampunk Selina Kyle in her current Catwoman suit. So damn cool. And yeah your detail in your pics is crazy. XD

This is quite honestly one of the most stunning pieces I've had the pleasure of laying eyes on in a long time
It reacts with so very many of my interests, tastes and views, though I suppose one may not be able to tell by looking at my work

The sheer quality of design and expression of ideas here is simply beautiful; the etching on her suit is spectacular and the gadgetry in front of her instantly pulls me into her world.

Her head turned, perhaps simply glancing to her side, or perhaps drawn into a thousand-yard gaze, considering the task at hand and it's many possible consequences...

I love how this piece brilliantly captures my attention; I simply must learn more about her world!

Hey there will be said more about the novel, right?
Or can I read about it anywhere? Cause this illustrations and concepts sound like a really good story. I'm getting curious abot it more and more while watching your art concerned with it.

And this is one of my favorites.

Hi there! Yes, there will be more about the story - in fact, just posted some sketches of the main character!

Unfortunately, this is a bit of a slow process for me, as it's very much a spare time project... but with a bit of luck it should come together eventually. And I'll be posting stuff along the way!

Thanks for visiting

Indeed, the leatherworking detail is marvelous as is the complexity of the head/tech filigree. Bravo!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

StephenCrowe In reply to DameMontague [2009-06-27 10:47:07 +0000 UTC]

Thank you - nice to have this complexity in a one-off illustration, but challenging to carry this through into a graphic novel... might have to choose my moments!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DameMontague In reply to StephenCrowe [2009-06-27 12:16:13 +0000 UTC]

Oooh, that could slow down the storytelling process. Maybe save the complicated pieces for chapter headings/covers?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

StephenCrowe In reply to DameMontague [2009-06-27 21:48:19 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I certainly won't be using this rendering technique for the body of the story... but nice to do a few show pieces to set the scene.
