I was the only person in my family that liked Loki better than Thor. IMO Loki was more of a real character, and at least a good reason for his trickery and deceit. In some ways I felt bad for him while watching the movie, but a villain has to be formed some way. Glad to see i'm not the only Loki fan out there! I know he's going to be badass in the Avengers movie!! <3

I'm sorry guys, I know I'm gonna piss a lot of people off about this, but I hated Loki. I've never read the comics so I don't know how they portray him there, but in Norse mythology the dude is the god of tricks and lies. Yet, in the movie he was more like the god of angst and daddy issues.

I'm not gonna argue because this is a matter of personal taste. My view of things if you're interested:
I myself think he worked great as the antagonist. And part of letting the audience witness [and that is one of the things that made this movie great] how he becomes the "villain" that he will no doubt play in the avengers, for example - part of that is to show all the "angst and daddy issues" that triggered his actions and were ultimately the reason he lost it. his trickery and lies are his weapons. his motivation are his family issues.
I can't wait to see him go badass trickster on the avengers. I think I heard Hiddleston say somewhere that Loki's motives in that one go beyond the quarrel with his brother. so I bet he get's to get his proper mischief on , maybe you'll like him better then ;D
