Ha! I still have the original magazine in storage somewhere. It was called " Those CRACKED Monsters".
As I recall, Dale gets gulped down whole and wriggling. The last panel shows the monster walking away from the worse than useless Flash, a contented smile on his ugly mug.
Your version is a great improvement.

If I ran out of batteries I'd throw the gun at it's eye, and maybe use that distraction to close in on the other eye.

No, it was from an old cartoon in Cracked Magazine. A friend of mine had mentioned wanting to see it re-done more realistically, so I took a shot at it.

That's awesome! Meeting her end just cause Flash didn't check his batteries. I can only imagine the thoughts going through her head in the beast's stomach.... Course that's only if she makes in past those teeth...
