Description "I'm sorry, I have no choice!"

                     - Pyrrha Alexandra (The bringer of woe)

This is an XPS only port of Pyrrha Alexandra's Soul Calibur Lost Swords P1 default outfit.

IMPORTANT STUFF:
================

- Works with XPS only! The latest version of XPS will also give you preview images of the models.

- Includes two version of Pyrrha, original (with big hands) and modified (resized hands). I included
the original version with big hands for the purists out there who want the model as it came.

- When you load the model, there will be what appear to be hair and skirt bugs. In order to fix this either:
 * Turn BFC/AFC (In the XPS menu, select Options > Back-face culling & Always force culling)
 * Select Pyrrha's model, press A on your keyboard to bring up optional items and deselect both
   bfhair and bfparts.

Having both options will allow you to use the model alongside other models that require or don't require
   the always force culling options.

- In order to toggle her accessories, press A on your keyboard to bring up optional items and select
 sword and/or shield.

- Omega Sword and Elk Shield are also included as separate items.

- Includes Pyrrha's fighting stance pose as seen on the preview image which works best with the modified version.

- For in-character, fanart use only. You are not allowed to make money with this model in ANY WAY!
That includes poses, renders, commissions or anything like that. I cannot stress this hard enough!

- Do NOT re-upload/re-distribute please! If the link goes down please notify me (iheartibuki) on the Sticklove forums.

- Any bugs? Please notify me on the Sticklove forums.

Do you have Siegfried in SCV's P2?

Thank you. If we ever convert Siegfried it will most likely be his P1 attire (first).

What are the aesthetic differences between this Pyhrra and the one from SCV? I can't tell, but it's still a beautiful model, nonetheless. Thanks for porting it!

I've gotta say, your version of the Pyrrha model is by far one of the best I've see thus far! The usage of model effects is very well done here, and the colors are definitely very accurate, much more so than any of the others I've seen! I'll say though, there are still a few areas of the model where the backface culling is still necessary, (two spots in the lower front portion of the coat, and oddly enough the back side of the panties. XD) but the fact that you considered making things work both ways is still pretty awesome.

Out of curiosity though, do the Lost Swords models bear any major differences or improvements over the SCV models? I've only very barely played that one so I don't know much of it.

Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate it. Where exactly in the front portion of the coat do we need BFC? I thought they looked ok, and with all the details I put in the model I thought nobody would look under there but I guess I was wrong. Ya there's a small piece in the back side of the panties that I should probably have removed, but for the sake of completeness I kept it. BFC is not really needed though especially if the other side is meant to be hidden, which is the case with her underwear.

SCV and SCLS models aren't that much different apart from some of the textures are stretched and are not. But parts are all separate now ala Tekken Tag Tournament 2 so you have to hunt them down and put them together, unlike SCV where some Namco Model Data containers had full models.

Oh, it's just a couple of small bits on the lighter leather portion of the coat at the bottom: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13… It's a minor issue though. Everything else is pretty rock solid! And I swear, the only reason I noticed the spot on the underwear is because I closely inspect all the models I pick up. Awkward I know, but I kind of learn things from them that way.

So from what I gather, unlike previous SC versions, the main characters are the same as created characters and don't have special versions of their outfits that are made just for the main costume versions. It's gotta be nice for customization, but hell for projects like these.

Oh, and I like what you've done here by using the reflection maps on separate mesh parts, it really does make a difference. I was wondering though what you did as far as the mesh part goes. Are the reflection meshes of the model made slightly larger than the meshes they're making reflective? It's so hard to tell...

Oh hahaha, are you by any chance using one of those spine or pelvis adjusters? I was actually gonna hide those but decided to make them available for anally-retentive peeps like me (lol) but I don't think they serve a purpose as far as posing goes though, If you just use the spine and pelvis bones themselves you should be fine. You can also play around a bit with XPS' bone scaling movement to see if it will go away.

Yes, SCV and LS characters have same base bodies. There is some special resizing algorithm that Bamco is using in the game which we haven't figured out, thus you have characters that are more muscular than others as well as those more gifted in the chest area in game. They're all probably morphs like what you see in those Daz Genesis models. And you're right, it's great for in-game customization but somewhat a bane for porting.

And thanks, I actually discovered that by accident lol. The mesh sizes are the same, I let the alphas do their work and they technically should move the same since they're molded from existing meshes and have the same weights.

I was just using the pose included here, but it does also show with the base T-pose as well. It's not really a problem I think. Thankfully most of the best models work well with backface culling on so it's really not a problem in my book. And if absolutely necessary, I can adjust the mesh manually in Blender. Trust me though, the upper spine adjuster and the pelvis adjuster hurt more than they help. I think they're less for pose adjustment and more for technical rigging stuff.

And as far as the resizing, I get the feeling the game may use keyshape data that's separate from the models. I don't know anything about the extraction process, but if there's data besides visual and audio materials, it might be worth looking into.

I'm honestly surprised that having two meshes of the same size layering works! Usually from my experience they sort of fight for attention. I guess I'll have to give that trick a try. Thanks for letting me know though, It's really useful info!

I see what you're saying now though. Ya the model is meant to be used with back face culling on. The option was to be able to use it with or without always force culling.

In my experience the meshes that fight for attention usually aren't exactly the same or are the same but are in slightly different posiitions. Good luck!

Oh god, you know what, I never really figured out what the BFC and AFC options each did on their own. That's completely my own fault, sorry about that!

Awesome job on her! I'm glad to see that the team still cares about this series after all of the discontent it caused.
(Not saying it caused me any discontent but you know)

Sticklove In reply to TuChico [2014-06-23 06:08:27 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. I never really understood the discontent either, personally I'm ok with the "kids" sticking around although I think it had more to do with the lack on content in V and the in-your-face microtransactions in Lost Swords than anything.

TuChico In reply to Sticklove [2014-06-23 06:15:23 +0000 UTC]

I have to agree there. I never really understood, but playing IV after V kind of made it make sense at least. All in all it's a great series, and I just hope we can see more from Project Soul, and then from StickLove as well!
