Description Some of you may have seen the Batman doodle I did at work and uploaded here a little while ago (which will be moved to my scraps pretty soon).

Well after that I decided I wanted to try my hand at doing a proper Batman picture, and here be the pencil version of said picture.

I tend to smudge my pencil work a fair bit when I am working on it so this probably looks a bit dirty but I'll clean it up as I go along

When I thought of doing Batman I instantly thought of Jim Lee's work on the Hush story line... so that is basically what I tried to replicate here.

That man is an absolute gun and if I ever got the choice of superpowers mine would be to be able to draw like Jim Lee.

I have also noticed this is probably the first picture in my Gallery since my Spawn picture ([link] ) that I have actually decided to draw in a background... which is pretty sad since I originally drew Spawn when I was about 15
How lazy am I??

Anyway, this is still a work in progress, I plan to ink and colour this picture and I'll be sure to share the results.

For those that are interested, this was done in my A3 sketch pad with HB, 4B & 6B pencils

Wow, I love all the little details in this, from the lght reflections to the detail on the buildings, amazing work. Oh and if you use baking paper under your hand while you work it keeps your paper nice and clean.

i dont know if i'm being a bit bold saying this but when you ink this and come up with a backround for it, I think you should sell it as a print

You are more than welcome to be as bold you you like with me Mede-Chan.

I do like your idea, I think it may be a bit wrong for me to do that though as I pinched the idea from well known comic artist Jim Lee.

Maybe next time when I do something a bit more original??

this is really awesome, but i feel the arms are a bit thick, however the shading is brilliant and you really nailed the jim lee style

Can't wait to see it inked and colored
Also I really like the way you did the background, it seems pretty detailed but doesn't overtake the rest of the picture at all.

Don't feel bad, I'm lazy too, the closest thing to drawing a background I've done recently is putting a random flower or coloring it black.
