Description From bottom to top: Captain America, Robin, Hulk, Spiderman, Aquaman, Superman, and Batman.

I had to take the picture of it in the back of my cousin's suv. The cake was 2.5 feet tall.

Support is such an important part of a cake like this. If you are doing the whole thing out of cake then you might want to go with a strong center support, something that is attached to the base. You can do a wooden base with a thick wooden dowel attached to it or a wooden base with a PVC pipe attached to it. Then you want to support the edges with either regular dowels or strong straws. If you can stack only two or three tiers before delivery and then stack the rest after it will make your deliver easier and keep you from worrying so much.

This particular cake was only meant to feed 30 people so the only tiers that were cake were The Hulk and Spiderman. The rest were Styrofoam dummies that were iced and decorated with fondant. I was able to stack the bottom dummies and cake in one piece then the top dummies as another piece so they would fit nicely in my car and be easier to transport. That way I didn't need much support. I only did the regular dowels in the cake to support the weight of the fondant on the dummies.

Here's a guide I have for dowel placement: cakesbyamandar.webs.com/dowlin…

If you need anymore help just let me know

Could you please explain how you made the batman on top and the hulk hand. This is really a neat cake and my boys love all of the superheros.

The Batman had a base that was styrofoam. I carved it into the shape of a human then spread the buttercream over it and added the fondant. The Hulk hand is made of separate pieces of fondant. I made the shape of the palm then made "logs" and placed them in the shape of a fist. I added skewers to the wrist so I could easily push it into the lower cake so it wouldn't fall. Hope this helps

This is freaking awesome! I could tell which hero each layer was without having to be told - they're all beautifully, cleanly done. Great job!
