I'm not so sure I got the Tornado right (I should have made the clouds in the background more swirly), just another thing I've never drawn before.

The drawing looks awesome. Good likeness to the character as he appears in the more recent comics. If there was ever a superhero drawing that you should definitely color... this is the one! An image of Red Tornado just doesn't have the same punch without his awesome red and yellow color scheme! Haha. Bt seriously, nice dynamics and camera angle. Love the idea of all the swirling bits of debris in his tornado. That's a real nice (and clever) touch!
The only thing I hate is the title. It's bad enough that RT, who one of the coolest looking JLA characters, always seems to get the short-shrift in the comics and the JLA Unlimited cartoons... but now he gets called a trailer park character? Dude, I know he's a second or even third string JLA member... but have a heart!

AS for the outfit, some editor must seriously be asleep at the wheel at DC. Everytime I try to find reference for a DC character I find multiple costumes, and I'm talking from issues out on the stands at the same time. Wonder Woman was the worse, I still have no idea which is her correct outfit. With Red here the biggest problem was his legs stripes, does he have them or not? Down the side? In the front? Does his chest line go down to his groin area? Who knows? not DC.

My standard for what the classic JLA guys should look like is the old Super Powers toy line! I mean, sure, I liked the DC superheroes from very early childhood cause of the old Superfriends cartoon... but it was right around 6th grade (if I remember right) that those Super Powers figures came out, and I just didn't care if I was too old to still be buying toys, they were so cool looking I had to collect them all. And so, those toys, along with a few scattered issues of mid 1980's JLA comic books, was what really made me fall in love with those characters. And it seems to me that if you look at the mid 80's era of the Justice League comics, the characters look pretty consistent to the Super Powers toys. That's how I first got into DC and that was what solidified those characters in my mind. So those are the versions I will always prefer! But that's just me. I wonder what a DC editor would say about that!!

Tornadoes are known to eat trailer parks, so I was trying to be funny.
I was not commenting on his status as a hero.
Thanks for the rest of the compliments I'll change the title.

Well don't take it so hard!! I'm just giving ya crap cause we're freinds. Okay, I get the joke. The trailer park - tornado connection went right over my head. But if you are going to change it here's my idea for a new title... how bout: "Red Tornado"!!
