This is a really fantastic piece, Sue.
I like the lights and shades between whites and black tones... the twinkgling of the eyes. A portrait of an old man that that could be anybody but that really somebody.

Oh yes, I do... it brings so much for the portrait, it becomes alive.
Perhaps he looks older than his real age... even in the photo at the time it was taken, but the thing is that your piece shows exactly that without lying... it isn't just the passage of time that appeares in his face but his intense life, for me it looks like (without knowing nothing about his biography) that life was never easy for him, there's a deep melancholy behind every line.
