NMM: You can deny it, but I remember the fun we had together of fighting that damn Celestia.
L: I do. And I won't ever again. This was not me. This was you. And I don't need you, I don't want you here anymore.
NMM: This was us! You wanted this power. I brought it to you. You were too weak to control it...
L: You made sure I couldn't...
NMM: If you did, then why you would have called for power?
L: I was an idiot.
NMM: You still are!
L: I'm wiser now.
NMM: But still in doubts about yourself. Oh Luna. Let me help you again.
L: You did your part. It was moons ago.
NMM: No. I still can.
L: Huh?
NMM: Look at you in this mirror! You still lack this confidence you always had when you were a filly.
L: I never lost any!
NMM: Oh! But you did. I don't want my future vessel to be a weakling again. Stay strong!
L: Your future vessel?! You surely have the nerves to come back here...
NMM: I knew you wouldn't try anything if I stayed calmed and caring.

NMM: The future is vaster that the night itself from which we are the guardian. And so much uncertain. You will need my help someday.

NMM: You will. But not me. Us. We will fight together as the same entity. And we grow as the strongest alicorn the world... maybe the universe will ever see.

The dark mare kissed Luna on the cheek which shocked the smaller one.
NMM: You will. And, maybe this time....
She began to fade.
NMM: ... we will even win our ponies's hearts... together...
She was gone.
L: M-moon? Moon! Where are you?
She looked around. Nopony was there.
L: MOON!
Hearing her screams, Celestia ran into her bedroom.
Celestia: Luna?! What's wrong?
L: Tia! I-I met...
The white alicorn stared at her, perplexed.
L: Sister?
C: Yes, Luna?
L: This may sound..... crazy, but...
C: Go on.
L: D-do you think that... I-if I had control over... Nightmare Moon... that I could have...
Celestia walked up to Luna and took her in a embrace.
C: You can't change things from the past. You can only remember them for learning from your mistakes.
L: But sister! If I had control over her? Would I have became more powerful than you and... maybe of greater help for everypony?
C: *sigh*
She let go of her younger sister.
C: I don't know. But... *sigh* I know for certain that I would not have to make the heartbreaking decision to send her to the moon.
L: Her?
C: She was in control. Not you. I thought that... she would have weaken by then and be easier to save you. Why those questions? Did you meet her again?
L: Uh...
C: Luna! She is trying to manipulate you again!
L: I know... but...
C: But what?
L: She... shown caring to my self.
C: Now... that's interesting...
L: What does it mean?
C: I... I don't know. Time will tell.
L: What if she does come back and try to-
C: Are you implying that-
L: NO!!! I love you sister! I love my new friends and... I know that I'm loved and respected. However...
C: Luna... You're worrying your sister now...
L: What if in a event or any catastrophe I witness your defeat... seeing you hurt, bleeding... c-calling my name...
C: ...
L: And this brings me to an anger that I couldn't myself control? A desire of revenge and destruction.... Is there a chance she may come back?
C: I can't tell. It's your mind after all.
L: But...
C: Luna. I'm very touched by what you just said... but you will have to control your anger. Because that day, many many ponies will need your help and it won't be the time for destruction.
L: Well... Twilight and Cadance would still be there...
C: You're missing the point! It's only you who can avoid being Nightmare Moon again. Me... I will be there... bleeding... crying for help... agonizing...
L: Stop that!
C: *giggle*
L: T-that's not funny!
Celestia kissed Luna on the same cheek that did Nightmare Moon.
C: Goodnight Luna.
L: S-sister?
C: Yes?
L: S-she kissed me on the same cheek you did...
C: W-who?
L: Her.
C: ...... I better clean myself then.
L: TIA!!!!

It's really up to interpretation really. I personally intended for it to show that despite everything Nightmare Moon is, she's still essentially a very distraught Luna (at least an extremely spiteful and vengeful version of her).

This is just amazing! I really like the expressions you did, especially the fact that you added a tear in Nightmare Moon's menacing and confident (?) gaze. It's packed with a lot of emotion.
I also really like the way it is coloured! The shading and the values are very well done. The background looks really good too. Absolutely great job!
Also! I noticed you try to switch programs for each picture you do, I find that quite interesting. I must say that for every software you've touched you've done marvels with them, haha.
