Now that’s an art seemingly done with hard work, just look at those details including the inkblots! A very interesting piece to write a critique on. Let’s begin, shall we. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a… " width="31" height="19" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="536" title="Ahooooy Matey!"/>
The first thing that caught my eyes would be the balance and harmony of the whole thing. Despite the design/shape & color difference, the 2 dragons fill the whole painting area very well and their shapes intertwined in a nice flow, doesn’t seem forced or logically challenged (or at least not too much). The dragon’s head on the left positioned slightly lower than the right but you balanced it with longer upper spikes, that’s a nice touch: balance without boring symmetry.
Not just about the shapes, the balance also included in the color. Both dragons were painted with greyish tone of respective colors and in my opinion perhaps the levels of both are almost identical – provided you’re not using an image editor e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> – and that’s quite amazing.
I can see there’s an interesting connection between the two, as if they’re attracted to and challenging each other at the same time: a ‘harmonious battle’ of power which is exciting to pay attention to. But despite the passionate expression the artist chose the colors with low saturation instead of the vibrant ones, which is unique and makes the interpretation potentially more interesting. To me, it would seem like a more mature relationship between the dragons.
As far as I see you’re only using global light source for the shadow but these creatures seem almost like 3D objects already at a glance despite the clear drawing pen strokes, I’m pointing out particularly the upper part of the blue dragon’s wing, awesome details. And if one wants to look closer the artist did even a further minuscule details down to the smallest scale, feather line & fur strand. This piece surely took some time to finish!
When I looked at this for some more time, I noticed a unique design of each dragon: the one on the left looks like a modified Chinese dragon (with single whiskers) and the right one is seemingly supposed to be a western dragon with avian wings (possibly referring to Phoenix?) instead of bat wings like the usual. You’ve written it in the art description but I think if one doesn’t inspect closer they would miss it, which is good probably because that means there’s originality in this (not that I’m a dragon expert though e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="320" title="Peace"/>).
And it’s great that you don’t neglect the background as a part of the painting, I think the way you outlined some drops of the ink really added to the dynamic of the dragons’ relationship despite you’re using black instead of fiery colors, now that’s another way to make an lively, spirited impression.
My conclusion is I think this is a complete, well-mastered artwork already but if you’re looking for an improvement advice you might want to add a little more fiery colors, because for a painting with a passion theme like this bright & sharp colors would convey the feeling better to the viewers and thus more impact. Keep up the awesome work.

This is beautiful! I like the different design of the two dragons--there's a great symmetry in the style and shape of the two which creates harmony in the piece, but the different colors and the fact that one is feathered and the other furred/maned makes this visually interesting, and it's those details that hold the viewer's attention once the bold colors and chaotic background grab it. The lack of pupils in the eyes give the dragons a more fierce and otherworldly look, and with the bared teeth, creates an interesting contrast of fierceness and tenderness from the way they're entwined and their noses are touching in almost a nuzzle. The spread wings of the blue dragon create a great symmetry and, together with the different and detailed designs of the two dragons, also lend originality to a concept (intertwined dragons) which has been done quite a bit. I like how one's tail nestles inside the other at the bottom, giving a sense of intimacy, along with the spread wings that hide a portion of the dragons' bodies, shielding them from the viewer. I wish the face of the blue dragon was not quite so shadowed--it makes the eye glow in a neat way, but makes the detail difficult to pick out and also makes the dragon's face the darkest part of the artwork, almost hiding it and moving the viewer's focus away from it when the dragons' heads and faces ought to be the focal point. If the light source were coming more from the front of the dragons, or if the blue dragon's face were at a slightly different angle, both of the dragons' faces could be well-lit and would make them a better focal point. A small detail that could be improved on an otherwise beautiful and eye-catching piece. Lovely job!

This is am amazing feathered dragon. I have one that is called Jormung and he comes from England and his parents or ancestors came from South America so he has instinctual ideas from there. I will write some stories about him in the future. Love the gold and blue feathers you put on him.
I might use this as a reference when drawing Jormung.
Congratulations on your Daily Deviation also.
