Anyone who plays Nancy Drew PC Games has got to be obsessed with Sonny Joon. He's "appeared" in four of the games, through his many, many notebooks and doodles. He is Nancy's unseen, unheard, guiding spirit, and is arguably one of the coolest fictional characters in the world. This is my interpretation of him.I'm not being completely random with his look. In The Phantom of Venice, we got a glimpse of what he might look like: [link] So the pink and green isn't out of left field. (Although I'd forgotten about it until I was researching him.)
So here we've got
-crazy hair
-thick sexy glasses
-marker for doodling
-retro headphones (I figure he's obsessed with music)
-monkey pin from his time on Dread Isle
-token alien/Mayan shirt (he's got me convinced that's what happened to them)
-designer handbag by Minette (who was in love with him? or something?) which he, of course, doodled on (it's a real Sonny doodle! )
-and a Koko Kringle bar.
A lot of people wish we would eventually see him in the games, or at least get to talk to him, but I'm unsure. I kind of like the mystery of him. I don't know if they could make him live up to his coolness, and I would be massively disappointed if there wasn't a CHEAT ON NED WITH SONNY option for Nancy. Because I would marry him so fast... XD

I love Sonny so much. He's been my favorite character ever since I played Scarlet Hand (back in 2005)
I've recently made my version of him with the Sims . It's similar to the Nancy games (in graphics)

This drawing is as awesome as its subject. I'd forgotten quite a few things of the things we know about Sonny from the games (like the hair).
I know that Shadow at the Water's Edge wasn't out when you drew this, but Sonny also has a small part in that if you look closely in the Ryokan's guest registry in the computer. Maybe if you redo this picture someday, you could add one of Yumi's phone charms or origami...

I just finished replaying The Phantom Of Venice and, because of my obsession with him, I did a drawing of Sonny Joon. Then I thought, "Hey! I bet someone on devientart probably has tried their hand and illustration him. I should look on there!" And sure enough, here you are, having created a perfect picture of him. I LOVE it! Not *exactly* how i pictured him, but I love this picture all the same.
I think their should be a Nancy Drew dedicated to Sonny Joon. Like, HerInteractive could have Sonny be kidnapped or something. Anything! We need more Sonny!!

dude, based on what we learn about him in the games, and on his doodles and notes, etc., as well as the fact that he leaves the world's biggest stashes of KoKo Kringle bars and KoKo Kringle wrappers, I have come to the conclusion that Sonny Joon is quite literally insane and is seriously needs to go to the wacky shack!!!!
