If tears could bring you back to me
Then we´d be back to when we met.
We´d have another chance to be,
This time the very best.
But all the tears I´ve cried and cried
Haven´t done me any good,
This love we share will be forever,
I am sure that´s understood.
I know you´re in a better place
And you can rest in peace
But I´m still here in this evil world,
Who knows what´ll happen to me.
You never liked to see me cry
So that´s why you played the clown
And always tried to cheer me up
When I was feeling down.
My tears they have to dry my love,
I´ll stop being this broken mess.
So I´ll do what I know you would want so much,
For me to choose happiness.

If crying brings a little relief then I'm sure he won't mind. I think rather that he would see you without the sadness. At least you don't hold it all back. Suppressing the feelings and becoming numb might be worse but each poem you write, though sad is a tribute and maybe just gives a little comfort - I hope so anyway. I see it is four years now. I think he would be proud of you with this website, the way you express things and reach out to others. It is something positive that comes from a sad event.

It really does help when someone has gone through the same thing, it's just knowing you are not alone having specific feelings and experiences and feeling that you are not being singled out by Life to have them! Yes he may well having some input in your poems. With some of my stuff I feel an influence from somewhere else, especially when I write after a tragic or major event.

Thanks Maria, it´s been a little over four years now and they´ve not been easy, I am slowly learning to adapt to life without him
