Yes, I know that the size limit is only 56x56 and some sprites go over this limit. Β Simply put, I didn't want to be confined by the super small boundaries, otherwise Pokemon like Lunaala would look incredibly tiny.Seeing as how most people are spriting the new Pokemon in the style of B/W, I figured I'd go back in time and sprite the new additions in the style of GSC!
The dex will be gradually updated as new Pokemon are announced!
[05/17/16] - Added Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Solgaleo, and Lunaala
[07/3/16] - Added Yungoos, Pikipek, Grubbin, Rockruff, Komala, and Rotom Dex
[07/13/16] - Added Charjabug, Drampa, Cutiefly, Togedemaru, Zyagrde Core, and Zygarde Cell
[07/23/16] - Added Vikavolt, Bruxish, Salandit, Tapu Koko, Magearna, and Zygarde 10%
[08/27/16] - Added Gumshoos, Stufful, Mimikyu, Bounsweet, Fomantis, Sandygast, and Wishiwashi
[11/15/16] - Added Dartrix, Torracat, Oricorio Baile, Mudbray, Bewear, Oranguru, Pyukumuku, Minior, Turtonator, Alolan Sanshrew, and Alolan Vulpix

I think you should've tried to make Solgaleo and Lunala in 56x56, to make them more authentic, usually the way around their large body design is making the head larger and put the body in the background to give it a impression of movement to make it feel like it's jumping right the player when they challenge it.
To be honest, you choosing not to do so was perfectly fine and I think it was a good decision overall when your goal is to showoff the overall design of the Pokemon.
