Description
In parks, yards and on streets of many old villages and towns these creatures can be met. They avoid modern cities’ noise and air full of exhaust fumes but still prefer living somewhere near human houses. Kitten-sized, big-eyed and extremely cute, they are used to be loved by humans, who regale them with meat-cuts and handfuls of ripe grain in winter when it’s so hard to find enough food outside. Sparrow griffins have been humans’ neighbors for ages and learnt some tricks: from cats - how to get some tasty treatment by acting in especial way; from raccoons - how to get it yourself if the first trick’s not working and humans still don’t want to share their food. The easiest way to see them is going to any grocery shop where they usually try to beg for a sausage or a piece of meat - or to snatch it right from a gaping customer’s bag. From time to time these creatures unite together efforts: they choose a victim with some bags full of food, and while a few of them go purring to it, sitting on its shoulder and rubbing against its legs, others steal something tasty and fly away.
