Entry for 's Christmas/winter contest!

I've been really excited for this! I was inspired by [link] to experiment with a bunch of different techniques!!! To create this piece I used...

A sock
Isopropyl alcohol (lots and lots of isopropyl alcohol)
Copic markers
Eye shadow (Iris and Crystalline from Mary Kay)
Nail polish
Embossing stuff (the silver on the dress is embossed!!!)
Opaque white
pencil
and probably more (nothing I can think of off of the top of my head though...)

Who is Helen? I'll just go ahead and ruin the story... I've been playing around with this in my mind for awhile (since hearing Oh Holy Night for the first time this year; the line "fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices"), it involves "angels" (people with wings) and nonlinear time. The girl (on the left with the red glasses) Nelly (short for Helen) buys a one of a kind handmade red scarf on ebay, she turns around and notices on the TV there is a girl (an "angel") with the same scarf, a dead girl, on the news. This would be the girl on the right with the wings. Anyway, to make a long story short (and cut out all of the interesting details...) the "angels" are all people who have died and been brought back to life with these magic boxes (which I'm not going to explain here, sorry), the "angel" who had died was actually Nelly herself (after she had died). Any way, it's pretty crazy, and makes very little sense, but is moderately interesting to consider (I think )

So basically, this is Helen as she is now and as she will be!

I really want a dress like that! (but maybe a little longer and maybe in green ) (Inspired by [link] , I'll have one of these things someday! (unlikely))

The sweater is from American Apparel and the boots are from Delia's. (I love those boots!!!)
