Description The northern lights overhead just outside my house.. Its a pleasantly surprising when you step out on your deck and have this view looking up at the sky. A lot of light pollution from the streets but it still looked great.

I did grab my gear and run to a darker spot but it subsided soon after. Managed to get this from before it went out.


Since then I have seen it quite a few times and managed to get some more shots. The NOCTURNAL FODLER should have more shots of this

- solar max this year.. after that you wait 13 years (13 year sun cycle) for the lights to be crazy bright in the sky.
