Caught a raven (i think) flying high up as we climbed the mountain.This is in Banff, Alberta. There is a gondola ride up the mountain from where you can walk this path for a good 30 minutes till you reach the peak of the adjacent mountain. Its a good workout
The view is amazing as you can see the valley and more mountains on either sides. It was raining lightly as you can sorta tell from the dark clouds all around. Too bad its closed in the winter.

I love it! There is so much to look at, which is what I think makes it awesome. The details of the wood, the flying bird the snow of the mountains, the fog comming into the valley, the way the bend of the valley makes me want to know what's around the corner. Everything! The railing makes a nice diagonal for my eyes to follow up right, and then the mountains bring my eyes back over to the left and the bird shoots me back up to the corner so I'm just exploring every aspect of it! Fantastic Work!

can you snowshoe your way up or is it completely closed off for the winter

Yeah the gondola's are off in the winter but there are paths and trails that you could possibly hike up. I could see paths and few hikers as I looked down from the gondola. Wasn't really prepared for a hike up the mountain so didn't try it
As for winter, I don't know how good a snowshoe would work climbing up mountains.. I guess as long as you stay away from the steep paths, you should be fine.

snow shoes work fairly well on steep slopes

Ah ok.. well i have no experience with snow shoes and hiking in the winter. I prefer going down hill on the slopes

im a skier my self, i stick to the blue slopes although i have done one black diamond

yea no blacks yet, although that's relative. I have done blacks at the slopes near my house but that's pretty much a hill. Won't try the mountain's black diamonds yet 
I enjoy the Blues and greens .. for now

in the high country but not much in the foot hills or the plains, colorado weather is kinda funny it can drop 6 inches of snow and it'll be gone in a half hour or it can drop an inch and it'll say for a few weeks
