another rather sloppy sketch...this was actually done a while back and I meant to colour it, but since it turned out less than satisfying I gave up...so here's the sketch instead...heehee (i'll try to upload smth decent soon...^^)Related content

lol, thanx. I often shade my sketches at least half way through before I begin with any colouring. Even though it's half-hearted and sloppy it gives me an idea on how things might turn out and serves as a better guideline...

Heh, heh, sloppy sketch? I think it's -beautiful-. I love the pain in his eyes, and the smoldering light within them. I wish I was so talented with facial expressions. All the people I've drawn of late have been quite lacking in the facial area...or I just cover it with hair.

actually i need to practice doing facial expressions too, which is one of the reasons I made this picture in the first place, hehe. So dont worry about it, we all need to practice ^^
To me though, getting that one thing right almost saves the entire image if the rest isnt very well done. I see too often amazingly painted pictures technically wise, but the look in the eyes of the subject is totally dead, or it's wrong and it just ruins the entire thing...if there is life, it conveys a story, if not then it's just dead figures and forms...
