Description Everyone needs a good revision break so here’s what I doodled during a little time off last year, during my university finals. This was inspired by a very exciting chat I had, which led to me collaborating with a PhD student to make a short film...

Thinking of everyone who has exams now, especially my li'l brother- keep going, the end is in sight!

Gaby, that's so AWESOME!
And your charisma comes across so completely on video-- you should have your own show!!!

Hahahaha, I felt so funny during the filming! Can you believe we filmed for two whole days to get those few minutes of action!?!?

Sometimes I wish I grew up in the days of silent movies, when the fact that you even had something moving on screen to watch was an absolute wonder...

I know what day it is tomorrow!!!!!

Me too me too!
And regarding silent movies-- are you a Mr. Bean fan, Gabrielle?

Happy birthday!!! May it be a good-un
It's Clem's birthday as well (as usual, hehe) and he's NINETEEN How the time flies...

I AM a Mr Bean fan- I used not to be when I was younger, strangely, but now I find him utterly hilarious. When we were in France staying in a campervan, we watched Mr Bean's Holiday...

Thanks, Gaby!
Rowan Atkinson seems to be the only modern comic to have studied guys like Chaplin, Keaton, and Lloyd-- the only comic who speaks silent film's language. AND can be just as funny out loud-- the steak tartar episode, the picnic lunch episode, the horror movie audience episode-- all so funny, I nearly had to be rushed off in an ambulance just watching them!

He's ahead of the curve though, what with his crazily contort-able facial features! I'm itching to watch some now...Mum finds him hilarious and disturbing in equal measures

Had an adventure yesterday:

A tale from the Chronicles Of Gabrielle The Infamous: Clement arrived in Cambridge yesterday to begin his student days (following in the footsteps of his sister) and I came up on the speedy train to say hello and goodbye and to officially oversee this changing of the guard. After a hearty brunch, we decide to wander into St John's College and enjoy the beautiful Autumn's day. Just as we're coming over the bridge we happen across two grouchy porters with very stern visages (in my head, I think uh-oh). The gentleman on the left then barks out, "here, do you have tickets?". Heart a-pounding (but not too much since both myself and Clement are university members and thus have right of free access and whatnot- one usually has to pay to gain access to these places) I open my mouth to reply placatingly. But! Before I get a single word out the gentleman on the right says, "ah no, they're alright. She (indicating yours truly) is a university member, I know her. Carry on!" Moral of the story? Smiling at the porters whenever you pass through the fair realm they sit sentinel over is worth it! I must have only passed that man a half-dozen times in my time at university but he still remembered me

That doesn't surprise me even a little bit!
Lucky Clem-- his time at St John's will be much more palatable, now that you've seasoned it for him somewhat!
